I have been working on building an app to faithfully recreate BS113A Vertical Switches and Crossings to Network Rail specifications as 3D printable/laser cuttable models. The ambition is to fill a gap for UK railway modellers who are modelling the post 1968 scene.

Progress developing the app has been good, and regular updates will be posted here as the software grows in utility.

Not sure what FB Vertical S&C is?

Read my guide to FB implementation in the UK below.

This is the turnout design screen, it shows a 2D representation of the selected turnout.

The user can select from any Network Rail Switch or Crossing designation. Once a switch is selected, the range of crossing angles appropriate to that switch become available to select from.

In the example here, a crossing angle of 1:9.25 is the natural lead to a CV switch. It has been highlighted with a star.
